Tanzania's mobile-based health insurance

The insurance industry in Africa is not big in comparison to elsewhere. It is estimated that fewer than one in 10 have access to decent health insurance.

But in Tanzania, an innovative scheme has been developed for low-income communities and is based entirely on the mobile phone.
