Any time we want to chill our drinks, we can reach into the freezer for ice cubes. But what did people do before freezers came along?

Millions bought ice from the so-called "Ice King", an American called Frederic Tudor. He became a multi-millionaire by cutting huge chunks of it from frozen ponds and shipping it across the world.
