Prepayment meters: 'We need to review the whole system', says fuel poverty charity
Energy companies have been asked by the energy regulator Ofgem to suspend the forced installation of prepayment meters.
The call comes after debt agents for British Gas were found to have broken into vulnerable people's homes to fit meters.
Adam Scorer from the fuel poverty charity, National Energy Action, said that people on prepayment meters should not be paying more than those on direct debit.
