Pupils at Trojan Horse schools 'vulnerable to extremism'

Inspectors found pupils at the so-called Trojan Horse schools in Birmingham were "vulnerable to extremism", Ofsted chief Sir Michael Wilshaw has told MPs.

Giving evidence to the education select committee, Sir Michael said there had been instances of governors deciding that they would "run the schools themselves".

He said that teaching staff that tried to stop them had been "moved on, intimidated or undermined".
