Inspectors shut three Birmingham schools because 'children are at risk'
Inspectors have closed three schools in Birmingham where they say they found dirty and dangerous conditions as well as homophobic and anti-semitic text books.
The chief inspector of schools in England is now setting up a taskforce to tackle unregistered schools operating outside the law.
Sir Michael Wilshaw says there is a serious and growing threat to the safety of children. The government says it is taking robust steps against unregistered schools.
Sir Michael described what inspectors found to the BBC's education editor, Branwen Jeffreys.
