Teaching unions say primary tests are unreliable
Teaching unions have said baseline assessment tests of four and five-year-olds in England are "unreliable" and "unfair".
Pre-primary assessments have been piloted at some schools in England, with a further rollout planned in September.
Two teaching unions have said it is damaging for pupils, while ministers argue there has to be a baseline from which to measure progress.
