Wilshaw: Problem students 'offloaded' by some schools

The chief inspector of schools in England, Sir Michael Wilshaw, says pupils with behaviour problems are being "offloaded" by some schools and "abandoned" in unregistered settings.

He said public money was being used to place vulnerable children in places operating illegally and with poorly qualified staff.

Some of the cases came to light as a result of a special investigation by Ofsted. BBC education editor Branwen Jeffreys spoke to Sir Michael.
