General Election 2015: Day 11 of the campaign

Campaigning got personal on Thursday as the Conservative Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said Ed Miliband had "stabbed his own brother in the back" to lead Labour.

Mr Fallon suggested Mr Miliband could not be trusted and that Labour could not be relied on to renew the Trident nuclear defence system.

The row dominated campaigning as Ed Miliband said the defence secretary had demeaned himself and his office.

Elsewhere UKIP reached out to women voters with policies on maternity, childcare and VAT on sanitary products.
