The Social Democratic and Labour Party unveils manifesto

Northern Ireland's Social Democratic and Labour Party has unveiled its election manifesto.

In a speech, SDLP leader, Dr Alasdair McDonnell, said the party will argue for greater economic powers, including the ability to issue bonds to support infrastructure projects and create more jobs.

The smaller of the two nationalist parties standing in Northern Ireland wishes to "create a new north that works as a region and will work as part of a new Ireland and stays within the European Union".
