Nick Clegg: 'Cruel and punishing night for Lib Dems'

Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg has held on to his seat in Sheffield Hallam.

Mr Clegg won 22,215 votes, a majority of just 2,353 - compared to his win in 2010 where he had a majority of 15,284.

He thanked the voters, but said it had been "a cruel and punishing night for the Liberal Democrats".
