Ed Balls: Former shadow chancellor loses seat

Former shadow chancellor Ed Balls has lost his seat of Morley and Outwood.

He was beaten by the Conservative candidate Andrea Jenkyns.

Mr Balls said: "Any personal disappointment I have at this result is nothing compared to the sense of sorrow I have at the result that Labour has achieved across the UK."
