Election 2015: Kennedy's 'night of the long sgian dubhs'

Long-standing Liberal Democrat MP Charles Kennedy has described his loss of the Ross, Skye and Lochaber constituency as "the night of long sgian dubhs".

The SNP's Ian Blackford won the seat that had been held by Mr Kennedy for 32 years.

His reference to the night of the long knives came during a speech following the count.
