Election 2015: Plaid Cymru faces Labour 'challenge'

Plaid Cymru's former chair Helen Mary Jones has admitted the party will have a tough fight with Welsh Labour to take advantage of any anti-Tory backlash in the 2016 assembly election.

Her comments follow the Conservatives' victory in Thursday's general election.

Speaking to Sunday Supplement on BBC Radio Wales, Ms Jones said Plaid is better able to tackle voters' discontent with a Labour UK government.

She also said Plaid would have to be a strong voice for Wales at Westminster as Scotland was likely to dominate the agenda for other parties.
