Welsh election: 'Greater turnout gives credibility'

Welsh Tory leader Andrew RT Davies has urged his fellow politicians to work hard to ensure a good turnout in the assembly election.

He told BBC Wales he feared there was a "disconnect" between a "fully-blown Welsh general election" and the level of public interest.

A combination of issues, such as the EU referendum and lower public engagement, could result in a lower turnout than the 38.2% in 2003, Mr Davies warned.
