US election 2016: Who are Donald Trump's voters?

Almost 10 million Republican voters have gone to the polls in 15 states - in 10 of them the winner in the end was businessman Donald Trump.

3.3 million votes - 34.7% of the total - have come in for the New York billionaire who has never run for public office before.

But what surprises pundits and opponents alike is the fact that he wins over evangelicals in the South as well as moderates in the Northeast. Low-income voters as well as the very wealthy.

The BBC looks at exit poll data from 15 states to see how far his reach goes.
