Adoption not exclusively for couples

The Government has announced its intention to revise adoption guidelines to make it easier for families to adopt children who are not from the same ethnic background. Children's Minister, Tim Loughton, made the comments in a speech to the British Association of Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) marking National Adoption Week.

Louise Hockings, Director of Child Placement at BAAF joined BBC Breakfast, along with an adopted mother and daughter who described how they came to be together.
