Coronation Street: Will Gompertz visits the set

Coronation Street is celebrating its 50th birthday with a live episode on Thursday.

The anniversary of the programme has been marked by a dramatic storyline featuring an explosion and a tram crash, which devastated the street and left the fate of many characters uncertain.

Will Gompertz was given access to the Coronation Street set in the wake of the crash and took a look round to see the extent of the damage.
