Iranian director animates Green Wave web activism

The use of social media among pro-democracy protesters has become a potent tool, evident most recently in uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya.

Now by way of a case study, an Iranian-German filmmaker has examined the role of social media in Iran's Green Movement in 2009.

The Green Wave uses blog posts, mobile phone video and animation to tell the story of Iran's web activists. Talking Movies' Tom Brook reports.
