Cheryl Cole faces media ahead of US X Factor

All four judges for the American version of X Factor have attended their first recording session for the show.

There is a great deal of media interest in the UK about whether one of the judges, Cheryl Cole, will be accepted by an American TV audience.

The British pop star is relatively unknown to people in the US despite her fame in the UK.

As well as Simon Cowell the other judges are Paula Abdul and producer Antonio LA Reid.
