Jackson doctor Conrad Murray sentenced to four years

Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, has been sentenced to four years in prison following his conviction for the involuntary manslaughter of the pop legend earlier this month.

Judge Michael Pastor said Dr Murray, "repeatedly lied... violated the trust of the medical community... and of his patient, and he has absolutely no sense of remorse."

The pop star died on 25 June 2009 from an overdose of the powerful anaesthetic propofol.
