Stars react to Oscar nominations
Some of the film stars up for an Oscar in 2012 have been been speaking about being nominated for the award.
Gary Oldman has received his first Oscar nomination, for his portrayal of George Smiley in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, spy. The British actor says he is "still in shock".
Glenn Close has been nominated for best actress for her portrayal of a 19th century Irish woman masquerading as a male butler in Albert Nobbs.
Viola Davis said it felt great to be nominated for best actress for her role in The Help, where she plays a black maid going public with tales of white southern employers.
Her co-star Octavia Spencer, who is up for the best supporting actress award, said she was "a little dazed confused and excited" about her nomination.
And British actress Janet McTeer, said she was delighted that she has been nominated for best supporting actress for her role in Albert Nobbs.
