Ryan Reynolds gives Denzel Washington black eye on set

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he accidentally gave his co-star Denzel Washington a black eye while filming an action scene for his new film Safe House.

The actor told BBC Breakfast that the incident took place while they were shooting a runaway car scene.

Reynolds admitted the accident gave Washington a "golf ball-sized" bruise.

In the film, Reynolds plays a safe house operator who is deployed to take care of a dangerous fugitive, played by Washington.
