Mark Kermode hands out his film awards

Movie critic Mark Kermode is adding to the award season with his own version, The Kermodes, which he set up as an antidote to the Oscars.

The Kermodes honour the films and film-makers that have been overlooked by the Academy Awards.

In this clip he reveals a new category for the annual awards and the winner of the Kermode for Best Documentary.
