Johan Zoffany's India paintings at the Royal Academy

Johan Zoffany painted portraits of kings, queens and some of the leading figures in 18th Century British society.

But some of his most original work is from the years he spent in India, capturing vignettes of the early days of the British Empire before things fell apart.

A new show of some his paintings is being put on at the Royal Academy in London.
