London 2012: How Lithuania's biggest rock star played Hamlet

The UK is to stage 70 productions from around the world during the Olympic festival and one of the landmark performances is a Hamlet from Lithuania, played by Andrius Mamontovas.

He is Lithuania's biggest rock star, and has been playing Hamlet for 15 years.

In a time when even Julio Iglesias and Tina Turner were banned, playwright William Shakespeare became a symbol of freedom and rebellion in the former Soviet Union. The plays often had secret messages in them.

The BBC's David Sillito went to meet him.
