Talking Movies: US filmmakers return to Indian roots

Patang is set in the Indian city of Ahmedabad amid the sights and sounds of the country's largest kite festival.

Its director was born and bred in Chicago, while the producer lives in New York, but both come from Indian families.

Tom Brook asks whether India's non-resident film makers are beginning to tell different kinds of stories on screen.

Talking Movies is broadcast on BBC World News on Saturday at 1330 GMT and Sunday at 0030, 0730 and 2030 GMT.
