Sir Bruce Forsyth: Eric Sykes was 'wonderfully funny'

Sir Bruce Forsyth has paid tribute to the comic actor and writer Eric Sykes, who has died at the age of 89.

Sykes found fame in a series of TV sitcoms from the 1950s, including Sykes And A... alongside Hattie Jacques.

Sir Bruce praised the star's 'inventive brain' and described him as a "comedy genius".
