George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess set in Soweto
George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess is traditionally set in 1920's America but a new production moves the modern opera to South Africa in the 1970s.
The opera, famous for songs including Summertime and It Ain't Necessarily So, has been adapted to take place in apartheid-era Soweto.
Michael Williams from Cape Town Opera and actress Tsakane Maswanganyi told BBC Breakfast about the opera ahead of its opening in London on Wednesday.
