Christmas ratings win for EastEnders

EastEnders has beaten Coronation Street in the Christmas Day ratings battle, according to overnight figures.

An average of 9.4 million people watched the BBC One soap, with the Queen's Speech, Strictly Come Dancing and The Royle Family also making it into the top five.
