Oscars 2013: Do long films attract awards?
The new Hobbit film is almost three hours long, director Quentin Tarantino's latest movie, Django Unchained, is slightly shorter, and Les Miserables runs for more than two and a half hours.
There is a cluster of very long films at the box office and some moviegoers are complaining that the pictures are interminable, yet these lengthy features are still being embraced.
