BBC Radio 4 newsreader Charlotte Green retires

BBC Radio 4 news announcer Charlotte Green is leaving the corporation after 25 years.

Charlotte's admirers are said to cherish her diction and poise while yearning for one of her show stopping fits of the giggles.

She told BBC News "It is a sad day. I feel really quite emotional."
