Antony Sher: Gay marriage vote shows 'breathtaking' change
MPs are debating the legalisation of gay marriage ahead of a free vote at 1900 GMT, with a number of Conservative MPs expected to vote against the plans.
Actor Antony Sher told the BBC's Mark Lawson he was content with a civil partnership, but the changes that had taken place for gay couples were ''breathtaking.''
Next-of-kin status was the ''most meaningful'' for him and his civil partner, he added.
