Rijksmuseum restored: Rembrandt returns to centre stage
Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands is set to re-open the Rijksmuseum next week, marking the end of a 10-year restoration project.
Work on the project ran five years over schedule, millions of euros over budget and renovation was delayed by flooding, asbestos and a dispute over access for cyclists.
The museum's director of collections, Taco Dibbits, took Will Gompertz for a tour of the transformed exhibition space.
