Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum to reopen after decade-long restoration

The Dutch state museum, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, is to reopen after a decade-long restoration project.

Renovation was delayed by flooding, asbestos and a dispute over access for cyclists.

Some 800 years of Dutch history are retold in more than 8,000 objects across the museum's 80 galleries.

Will Gompertz reports.
