JJ Abrams reboots Star Trek and Star Wars franchise

Sci-fi sequel Star Trek Into Darkness, starring Chris Pine as Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock, will have its UK premiere on Thursday in central London.

Director JJ Abrams is credited with turning the Star Trek franchise around - and he is about to take on the challenge of the latest Star Wars series.
