Alison Moyet on the Andrew Marr Show

Alison Moyet has performed her new song 'Filigree' on the Andrew Marr Show.

Speaking before the performance she explained that her new album had been her most enjoyable studio experience because she had "taken herself away from the record companies" to make it.

The singer told Eddie Mair that when singers got to a certain age, "the only record anyone wants to make with you is a covers album". She said she took herself away from talk of sales targets and demographics and made the album the way she wanted.
