Bizet's Carmen gets a Bollywood makeover in Bradford

Bradford city centre was turned into a giant stage on Sunday evening with a performance of Bollywood Carmen Live, a twist on Bizet's classic opera.

The basic plot was similar to the famous Spanish love story but all melodies, dance routines and storylines were given a Bollywood twist.

Arias were replaced by the music of Adele and Bizet's bullfighter was played by Bollywood star Abhay Deol.
