Fans line the streets for Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp fans caught a glimpse of their hero at the premiere of The Lone Ranger in Los Angeles.

Depp plays Tonto alongside actor Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer piqued Depp's interest in to playing Tonto very early on, long before the film had been picked up by Disney.

The film will be released in July.
