Griff Rhys Jones uncovers the truth about his dad's war
When the actor and comedian Griff Rhys Jones was growing up, his father barely spoke about the war.
But Elwyn Jones was a medical officer who had travelled thousands of miles from his home in Wales to Ghana and then the jungles of Burma, to fight the Japanese.
Griff was determined to find out more and retraced his father's steps, uncovering some remarkable stories.
He told BBC Breakfast all about his new programme, Burma, my Father and the Forgotten Army, which is on BBC Two on Sunday 7th July at 9pm.
