Sci-fi fans gather in San Diego for Comic-Con

Thousands of science-fiction fans are in the Californian city of San Diego for this year's international Comic-Con convention.

What initially began as a convention for comic book enthusiasts has become a multi-genre event, also bringing together fans of film and computer games.

Attendees also get the opportunity to meet stars and creators of their favourite films and TV shows.
