Why works of art are coming to a billboard near you

Over the next two weeks it is estimated that nine out of 10 people across the UK will see a famous British art work, whether they want to or not.

From Thursday, creations by the likes of Holbein, Hogarth and Hirst will be appearing on bus shelters, in cabs, and even in pubs.

It is all part of the Art Everywhere campaign which has managed to persuade the owners of billboards all over to donate some of their prime advertising spaces for free.

The BBC's Colin Paterson takes a look at which classic pieces have been chosen.
