Wicker Man director Robin Hardy on film's new version

Cult British film The Wicker Man has returned to cinema screens with a new 'final cut' that claims to be closer to the director's original vision.

The longer version of the movie has famously been lost since its release 40 years ago.

The film follows a police sergeant, played by Edward Woodward, who goes to the fictional Scottish island of Summerisle to search for a missing girl.

Director Robin Hardy spoke about working with Woodward and co-star Christopher Lee on the project and his desire to make a third film in his 'wicker' trilogy.
