Tennant on ponytails and Doctor Who

Since he called time on his stint as a Time Lord, the former Doctor Who star David Tennant has certainly been busy. He's played some of Shakespeare's most famous characters on stage, and this year he also starred in the TV drama Broadchurch - which saw bookies taking bets on how the murder mystery would end.

Now he's teamed up with the BAFTA winning writer behind Spooks to play a barrister in the legal thriller The Escape Artist.

David and writer David Wolstencroft joined BBC Breakfast to talk about the programme but before they did, there was a small matter of David Tennant's hair style that needed discussing.
