Roman history novel nomination

The winner of the UK's leading award for non-fiction books, the Samuel Johnson Prize, is being announced on Monday evening.

Six books are in the running and they cover a raft of subjects - including bees, the story of an Italian poet, a book about First World War cemeteries and the authorised biography of Margaret Thatcher.

Nick Higham spoke to Charlotte Higgins about her book Under Another Sky, which explores the legacy of Roman Britain.
