Judith Kerr and Shirley Hughes on why they won't retire

They may have a combined age of 176 but children's authors Judith Kerr and Shirley Hughes insist they are not ready to retire.

Kerr's book The Tiger Who Came To Tea has sold over a million copies since it was first published 40 years ago.

And millions of children have enjoyed Hughes's work which includes books like Dogger and the Alfie series.

Both Kerr, 90, and Hughes, 86, are still working on new material and their work is currently on display at an exhibition at The Illustration Cupboard in London.

The popular pair interrupted their busy schedules to tell the BBC about their work, past and present.
