Former Miss World launches UK pop career

Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra is one of the most bankable actresses in India, with award-winning roles in films such as Fashion, Aitraaz and 7 Khoon Maaf.

Called "the biggest star you've never heard of" by Vogue Magazine, the former Miss World is currently filming a biopic of world boxing champion and Olympic bronze medallist, Mary Kom.

"It's a big challenge," she tells BBC Asian Network's Shabnam Mahmood, "especially getting punched in the face".

The actress also talks about her burgeoning pop career. She scored a hit in the US with the Pitbull-featuring single Exotic last year.

She is currently in London to launch her first UK single, I Can't Make You Love Me.
