Actress Fiona Shaw: Rada was 'happiest time of my life'
The Queen is to hold an event at Buckingham Palace celebrating her 60-year patronage of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Rada).
The Today programme's James Naughtie has met some of the school's alumni, including actress Fiona Shaw who described her time at Rada as "transforming" and the "happiest time" of her life.
Actress Maxine Peake added that the drama school taught her to be "thick-skinned", which she joked prepared her well for later casting rejections.
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Monday 17 February.
