BBC 6 Music DJ Lauren Laverne on station's festival

BBC Radio 6Music are spending this weekend thanking their loyal listeners, with a two day music festival featuring the likes of Damon Albarn, Kelis and Jake Bugg.

According to 6Music DJ Lauren Laverne, the station was saved from closure by an audience led campaign.

Tickets for the Manchester based festival, on 28 February and 1 March, sold out in just six minutes.
