Line of Duty writer: 'We deliberately leave loose ends'

BBC Two drama Line of Duty "deliberately leaves loose ends", the show's writer Jed Mercurio has claimed.

Ahead of the penultimate episode of the second series, he told BBC Radio 4's Today programme the audience "won't buy" a resolution that is "too neat".

Mr Mercurio also said he was "delighted" by the audience's response to the show.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday, 12 March.
