Sly Stallone's shot at Broadway with Rocky: The Musical

Sylvester Stallone has taken a step to becoming a Broadway heavyweight, as Rocky: The Musical opens in New York.

The actor, wrote the original Rocky book and screenplay and has co-produced the theatrical outing.

Fans of the film Whoopi Goldberg, James Cameron and Wesley Snipes were just some of the stars attending the musical's opening night.
